It's official; the house is on the market as of yesterday afternoon! Yay!There is still work to be done.
The top half of this large maple tree that was broken during the high winds two weeks ago still has to be cut up and removed. We also have a lot of trash that needs to be hauled out of the garage so people can actually tell that it is an oversized garage, not just a junk heap. However, the interior of the house is finished and it looks like a different house inside, which makes all that work worthwhile. Did we do before and after pictures? Of course not! Duh! But Connie, Denny and I at least know what we did and how much different the house looks now. And I must say, we're pretty proud of ourselves.This weekend the three of us are taking a break from the house. Denny and I will visit with Darb and Net today and then go up to check on my mother on Sunday. Monday someone is coming to look at the extra lot that we have for sale next to the house and someone else is driving down to buy the stair lift chair. Denny and I will have a couple of free days after that, so we will schedule a tee time for the first time in six months and go smack some balls around the golf course.
As Connie said last night, what do people do when they work and have to deal with an estate? It's hard to imagine having to do what we did while dealing with your own place and working a full time job. We are lucky that the three of us are retired so we could spend several hours a day working on the house.
And now? We'll luxuriate in the thought of free time once again. Ahhhhhh.....

You and D have been up to your eyeballs in work it seems. I am hoping you got to go golfing...you both so deserve it. Luna and I are good. I'm trying to sell my boat....it's time. And trying to keep my head above water in other areas of my life. But my health and Luna's health is good, so I just can't complain about anything except money. And that is sooooo boring...(ggg). We're still in the 95-102* (!!!!!!!!!) range, but the early mornings and late nights have been great. So I've been working about the back yard, cleaning up dead stuff and throwing out junk. In the heat of the day, I'm looking for a job between cruising Amazon's MP3 site. Sigh. My Mother used to spend hours listening, copying and organizing music BEFORE computers. She would be CRAAZED now if she had one. :::sigh::: I am becoming my Mother (ggg). Bet you'll be glad to get out of the stickiness soon. You'll be missing the great desert southwest fall if you don't get out soon! At least you have FAB pictures to remind you of it's beauty. Guess I'll have to send you some desert air in a jar. Sorry to hear about losing another loved one. (!!!!) This has been a hard year on you two. I'll put a few hugs in that jar of desert air. xxoooxxx Kim & Luna
