We are Denny and Linda, the RV Vagabonds, traveling the country in our 2011 Landmark Grand Canyon fifth wheel. After fourteen years on the road we met our goal of playing golf in every state of the Union, so now we're just being footloose and fancy-free until we get the urge to settle down.

Water gushes from the canyon walls in the Thousand Springs area just east of Hagerman, ID. The water comes from an underground aquifer in the Snake River basin and geologists estimate that the aquifer contains enough water to cover the entire state of Idaho in 1 1/2 inches of water. According to the tourist brochure, the emmigrants passing through noted in their journals how frustrating it was to see the fresh spring water and yet be unable reach it as the canyon walls are right above the Snake River.
