We are Denny and Linda, the RV Vagabonds, traveling the country in our 2011 Landmark Grand Canyon fifth wheel. After fourteen years on the road we met our goal of playing golf in every state of the Union, so now we're just being footloose and fancy-free until we get the urge to settle down.

We've discovered our first cache as a group and are logging our find. We're now officially geo-cachers!
I was having a similar idea, when time comes, left and never home, visiting/troubles friends and relatives, experience different life... Happy traveling!
Lee, truth be said, the Garmin eTreks from Wal*Mart have been the ones that find the spot every time. Twice out of 5 times mine's been off a good 50-85 feet. I purchased the Meridian Gold for use in the car to route trips due to its smart card capabilites for downloading maps. For the geocaching only, I think I would have gone with the Garmin. Linda
After thinking about my post and about our geocaching efforts I realized the two caches where the Meri-gold was off were the ones I manually downloaded into the GPS. I had it set for only two decimal points in the LAT/LON settings instead of three and that probably threw off the readings quite a bit. So let me try a couple more caches and get back to you on the readings on the Meri-Gold, okay? The screen and buttons are SO much better than the Garmin eTrek.
