We drove through Redmond, WA on the way to our newest location. There were many new modern buildings in town that I assume are part of the benefit of having the Microsoft company based there. We were hoping to tour the company, but it seems that the only way you can arrange a tour is if you happen to know one of the Microsoft employees. Yeah, right, I meet 'em at campgrounds all the time! Sigh. We carry a book called Watch it made in the U.S.A. which lists factory tours available both free and for a fee, and Microsoft was in there, but I didn't read it to see that you need a referral, as it were, for entree. Sometimes I forget I have the book, but we have taken advantage of several tours, including the Corvette factory tour, Natural Ovens, Snyder's of Hanover, Hershey's Chocolate World and several more. I see Boehms Chocolates in Issaquah gives tours, so I guess we'll have to do that instead of Microsoft. Hmm, chocolate/computers, chocolate/computers. Tough choice-heh.
It appears there are three 18 hole golf courses nearby, all of which accept our 2 for 1 discount cards. Okay let's see; great campground, terrific local scenery, golf courses and chocolates. We were able to get both satellite dishes aimed through the trees with no problem and we have 5 bars on our cell phone- so what's not to like about the Fall City area?
